The Department for Education’s Teaching Vacancies service, in collaboration with the Chartered College of Teaching (CCT), will be hosting a webinar for trainee teachers who will soon be exploring how to find their first teaching job.

This is the first in a series of three webinar events, all dedicated to helping trainee teachers find their first teaching job.

Teaching Vacancies is the trusted and official job service for teachers and should always be the first place teachers check for their next teaching role.

Speakers will include a wide range of experts on teaching jobs including representatives from CCT, Teaching Vacancies and Muti-Academy Trusts. They will share their top hints and tips on how to excel within the sector and share what they look for in new candidates!

Some topics for discussion will include:

  • when you should start searching for roles
  • what you should look for when considering a role
  • the key parts of the application form
  • the common mistakes made on application forms
  • what schools are looking for in relevant training, experiences, membership organisations, and hobbies and interests
